We hope everyone was excited by our last post about starting School the World's campaign for this year's #GivingTuesday!
Now for more explanation of what we want everyone to do: Share an image of you with your favorite children's book or holding a sign with the name of that book to social media. In the caption, explain why.
In honor of #GivingTuesday, donate $5 to help us School the World!
Don't forget to use the hashtags #ReadShareGive, #GivingTuesday, and #SchooltheWorld so we can track your posts!
Here, one of our interns, Callie, and her friend provide examples:

Callie (left): "Magic Tree House was my favorite series as a kid. My dad used to read my brother and I the stories before bed and I would pretend we were the kids in each plot. I loved imagining myself in all the adventures through the Amazon, in castles, as pirates..."
Allie (right): "My aunt would read me Chicka Chicka Boom Boom as a kid and would always use the funniest, most ridiculous voices. I can still remember her doing it to this day."
Did you know that 775 million people worldwide are illiterate and have never experienced the joy of a favorite children's book? Luckily, we can help change that! With your $5 donations we can continue to stock the libraries in the schools that we build in Guatemala and Honduras!
Please post your pictures and descriptions throughout all of November as we gear up to Giving Tuesday on November 29th! We are hoping to raise awareness on the global literacy crisis and receive generous contributions to continue driving change!
We have set up a page here for donations so we're ready, set, go. PLEASE start sharing your stories and letting everyone know about our campaign!
